In early years of child, Language development grows significantly, which leads to learning the names of objects of interest, the ability to ask for things, and as they discover their independent nature, they develop the ability to say, “No!” This is also a stage of rapid physical and intellectual development, preparing these children for starting school, which includes interacting cooperatively with peers while at the same time being able to compete physically and intellectually. The School provides the platform where students learn social skills, free-play, develop verbal ability and imbibe the skills and joy of creating things with their own hands through art and crafts which is an integral part of the curriculum. The curriculum is open-ended and the focus is on experiential learning. The focus in Class U.K.G is on cognitive development and enhancement of the language and interpersonal skills. The children are sensitised to the social and cultural concerns and encouraged to think, reflect on issues and arrive at their own solutions.
Each day begins with Circle Time, during which students are encouraged to express themselves and listen to their peers, developing empathy. The focus will vary from day to day and class to class, sometimes with topics that challenge and inspire, but each day seeking to develop that sense of self as well as developing an understanding of others.
Primary
Class I to Class III
Between five and eight years of age, body proportions and motor skills become more refined. By age five, a child’s vocabulary will grow to approximately 1,500 words. Fiveyear-olds are also able to produce five-to seven-word sentences, learn to use the past tense, and tell familiar stories using pictures as cues. Language is a powerful tool to enhance cognitive development. Using language allows the child to communicate with others and solve problems. Apart from Maths, English, Hindi, E.V.S. and Computer Science, emphasis is laid on Visual and Performing Arts, Value Education and General Knowledge.
Class IV to Class V
The primary developmental task for children at this age is integration, both in terms of development within the individual and of the individual within the social context. Children are learning skills such as classification and forming hypotheses. In accordance with this , students are introduced to Social Studies. In addition to the subjects learned in the previous class, the school offers the students the choice to learn as a Third Language.
Middle Years(Class VI to Class VIII)
The new academic session 2020-21 has commenced with reverberating zest and vitality. The entire environment of the school is electrified with the noblest of all pursuits, the dissemination of knowledge. Upping the novelty quotient of this exercise are certain measures introduced by the Central Board of Secondary Education. The following scheme of studies is to be followed for classes VI to VIII
Notebook Submission : This will assess : Regularity, Assignment Completion, Neatness and Upkeep of Notebook.
Subject Enrichment Activities : These subject specific activities are aimed at enhancing the understanding and skills of the students. These activities will be conducted throughout the year and shall be evaluated at the term end. To develop effective speaking and listening skills in language, activities such as recitation, role play, declamation, picture reading and debate shall be carried out. Hands-on activities, Lab work and Project work shall be conducted in Mathematics, Science and Social Studies.
Co-Scholastic Activities : For the holistic development of the students, the students shall be graded in Work Education, Health and Physical Education. Aspects such as regularity, sincere participation, output and teamwork shall be the criteria for grading the coscholastic activities.
Discipline : The students will be graded term wise for discipline, based on factors such as attendance, sincerity, behaviour and values.
Final
<h3SECONDARY
The new academic session 2020-21 has begun with great enthusiasm and energy. This year also promises to be a fruitful and productive session.
Kindly note that the CBSE has restored the Board Examination for Class X and has revised the assessment structure from the Academic Year 2017-18 onwards.
Note – Student can also opt for Hindi / Computer Applications as additional 6th subject.
The same pattern of examination will be followed for class IX.
School will conduct three rounds of examination for classes IX & X.
